What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Kuttle ("Kuttle," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal data when you visit getkuttle.com, contact us, or use the Kuttle desktop application and related beta services.

Kuttle works across your computer, model providers, applications, files, and optional tools. Some data stays only on your device; some is sent to a third party when that is necessary to perform the action you request. This policy distinguishes between those paths.

02 / Data we handle

Data depends on what you ask Kuttle to do

Website and communications

• Website request data: our hosting provider may process IP address, browser type, request time, and requested page to deliver and secure the site.
• Messages you send us: if you email us, we receive your email address and the content and attachments you choose to include.
• No advertising profile: the current website does not use analytics cookies, advertising pixels, or cross-site tracking technologies.

Desktop application

• Settings and credentials: model provider keys, enabled agents, tool settings, allowed folders, integrations, and other preferences you configure. These are stored locally in the app's settings store.
• Commands and results: prompts, generated responses, provider and model names, status, timestamps, and usage counters. If local history is enabled, Kuttle stores up to 200 recent history entries on your device. You can disable previews or history entirely.
• Context you select or approve: active application, window, browser tab, folder path, selected files, document content, clipboard selection, screenshots, or other context needed for a command. Kuttle is designed to minimize this context before it is sent anywhere.
• Agent, tool, and artifact data: agent instructions and memory files, tool inputs and outputs, task state, and files or images created at your direction.
• Local diagnostics: app version, operating system, permission state, configuration status, and error information used to troubleshoot the app. The current beta displays diagnostics locally and does not automatically send crash or action-failure telemetry to us.
• Voice input: if you press the microphone control, audio and speech-recognition data may be processed by operating-system speech services. Kuttle does not continuously record microphone audio.

Kuttle uses accessibility and input-monitoring permissions for requested desktop actions and configured triggers. It is not designed to retain raw keystrokes or continuously record your screen.

03 / How we use data

We use data to provide the action you requested

Depending on the feature, data is used to:

• interpret commands, supply relevant context, generate responses, and complete approved actions;
• save your settings, maintain optional local history, and support task recovery;
• operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and beta application;
• respond to questions, beta requests, and support messages;
• prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal data or use Kuttle activity for targeted advertising.

04 / When data leaves your device

Your chosen action determines the destination

Model providers

When you use a configured model, Kuttle sends your command, relevant system instructions, and any context needed for that request to the selected provider, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google. Those providers process the data under your account and their own terms and privacy policies.

Tools, applications, and destinations

When you direct Kuttle to search the web, draft or send email, call an API, run a tool, work with an application, or create a file, Kuttle sends or writes the information needed to the service or destination you selected. For example, an SMTP provider receives an email you choose to send, and a search provider receives a search query.

Service providers and legal disclosures

We may use hosting, email, security, and support providers to operate the website and communicate with you. We may also disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or complete a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition.

We require service providers acting for us to use information only for the services they provide. Third parties you independently select—including model providers and connected tools—are governed by their own practices.

05 / Retention

Local data stays until you remove it

• Local history: if enabled, recent commands and result previews remain in the local settings store, capped at 200 entries. Use Settings → History → Clear history to remove them.
• Settings, keys, agents, and tools: remain on your device until you change them, remove them, uninstall the app, or delete the associated local files.
• Artifacts: remain wherever you asked Kuttle to save them and are controlled through your operating system or destination service.
• Support email: is kept as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
• Provider data: is retained under the policy and account settings of the provider or tool you selected.

06 / Your choices

Controls live where the data lives

• Disable command history or command previews in Kuttle's Privacy settings.
• Clear local history at any time.
• Remove provider keys, disable agents or capabilities, narrow allowed folders, and disconnect tools.
• Revoke Accessibility, Input Monitoring, Microphone, Speech Recognition, or Automation access in your operating-system settings.
• Manage provider-side data through the account controls offered by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or another provider you use.

You may email us to ask about, access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. We may need to verify your request, and legal exceptions may apply. Because most app data is stored only on your device or with a provider under your account, we may not possess the data you are asking about.

Browser privacy signals

The current website does not track visitors across third-party websites, so it does not change behavior in response to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. If that changes, we will update this policy and the site's controls.

07 / Security

Local-first reduces exposure, not all risk

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the beta and the information involved. Kuttle limits context, exposes capability controls, and routes supported actions through explicit adapters. However, no storage system, software, or transmission is completely secure.

08 / Other details

Children, international use, and changes

Children

Kuttle is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. The beta is intended for people who are at least 18 or the age of legal majority where they live.

International processing

The providers and services you choose may process data in countries other than yours. Their privacy notices describe where and how they process data. By directing Kuttle to use those services, you ask that the necessary data be transferred to them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Kuttle changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we handle data, we will provide additional notice when reasonably possible.
